Chelsea Morgan Stock

Bio

Chelsea was born and raised in San Jose California. She started dancing at the age of 2 and around 8 years old her aunt, a Broadway Vet, gave her the song “Shy,” and Chelsea bursted right out of her shell.

Along with singing and dancing Chelsea had a love for competitive soccer and played up until she was 11 years old. When she wasn’t on the soccer field she was in the rehearsal studio.

Chelsea performed in every musical she could at her high school Archbishop Mitty and at Children’s Musical Theater San Jose. Performing and the community became Chelsea’s favorite thing of all!

Directly out of high school, Chelsea attended The Boston Conservatory. Senior year of college, a teacher of hers gave a few students names to an agent in New York when Disney was searching for Ariel in the upcoming Broadway production.

Chelsea was one of those students. So during her Winter Break she took a bus to New York City and auditioned for The Little Mermaid, green as green could be.

She made it to the finals for the role of Ariel and took a bus back to Boston. Only days later she was called back to New York to read and sing and dance for the ensemble. About a week later Chelsea knew her first job out of college would be on Broadway. She was cast as Andrina and the understudy to Ariel in the original Broadway Cast.

Chelsea went on to graduate from The Boston Conservatory, perform in her Senior Showcase only to start rehearsals a week later.

When the original Ariel put in her notice Disney did a nation wide search for the next Little Mermaid. Chelsea of course said she wanted to be considered and after a few nerve wracking months, the role luckily went to her. She closed out the show starring as Ariel.

Chelsea went on to perform in 3 more Broadway musicals. Baby Its You as the standby for Mary Jane, Sister Act as the understudy for Sister Mary Robert and Something Rotten as the understudy for Portia.

In 2014 Chelsea met her now husband and in 2015 they moved across the country to Los Angeles. Chelsea and her husband Deaton own a small business coffee roasting company called Tectonic Coffee.

Chelsea continues to audition for Theater, Film/Tv and voiceovers. She sings with LA’s Singers of Soul. She teaches and coaches young performers in both dance and song. Chelsea also runs her own fitness company, Chiseled By Chelsea.

"Chelsea Morgan Stock - who portrays studious tutor Connie Lane - likewise has an angelic voice, shown beautifully on her "The Best Things in Life Are Free" duet with Lekites. Her Connie is smart and quietly appealing." - The Day

"The fetching Chelsea Morgan Stock plays the preacher's daughter Ariel with sassiness, spunk and an awakening sexuality. Stock sashays across the stage with sexy moves in "the Girl Gets Around" and belts out "Holding Out for Hero" with ease."
